Credit union league opens renovated office

The Guyana Cooperative Credit Union League (GCCUL) last week opened its renovated office located at 127 D’Urban Street, Lodge.

The newly constructed enclosed bottom flat of the building was dedicated during a brief ceremony which was attended by Minister of Labour, Nanda Gopaul.

During the ceremony officials mentioned that the League has shown a positive  performance for the reporting period, experiencing a surplus of $1,076,206 for 2011 as opposed to $330,873 for 2011.

The GCCUL was registered on the 7th October, 1957 under the Co-operative Societies Act, Chapter 88.01.

The Guyana League is an Affiliate of the Caribbean Confederation of Credit Unions (CCCU) which represents the Caribbean Diaspora at the World Council of Credit Unions as part of the over two million, one hundred thousand members.
