The police said that a scuffle ensued between the victims and the perpetrators during which Porter was shot to his left thigh. The armed men then took away an undisclosed sum of cash and a quantity of gold jewellery from the victims and escaped, police said.
Porter was admitted to the GPHC for treatment and subsequently discharged.
