Remnants of channa bomb found on Sahoye-Shury’s premises

Police say that at about 2330h. last night, the remnants of a Molotov cocktail were found on the premises of Philomena Sahoye-Shury at Sheriff and Canje Streets, Campbellville, Georgetown.

Pieces of broken bottle, a quantity of channa and a wick from the ‘channa bomb’ were recovered at the scene, police said. The device had not ignited and no damage was done to the building.

Investigations are in progress. Sahoye-Shury’s residence has been attacked a number of times with channa bombs but the police have not held anyone.
