A man who was convicted for the unlawful possession of firearms has escaped from prison and is now being sought by the police.
Nigel Misidgain, 30, escaped from the Mazaruni Prisons on March 12, according to the Crime Chief Seelall Persaud.
In a press release, police asked anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Misidgain to contact the police on telephone numbers 226-1326, 225-2227, 225-8196, 333-2151, 333-2191, 225-6411, 911, or at the nearest police station.
It was noted that all information will be treated with strict confidence.
Misidgain’s last address was given as Canje, Berbice.
