Dear Editor,
The firecrackers (squibs) have begun to herald the Diwali celebrations and I am calling on the police to be more proactive in relation to this illegal activity.
The squibs produce various sounds some of which could be easily mistaken for gunfire.
For better security, and out of sympathy for the elderly and our dumb pets the police should please enforce the law.
