East Ruimveldt swamp Central in Scotia/Pepsi schools football

East Ruimveldt Secondary mauled Central High 13-1 while Charlestown Secondary brushed aside St. George’s 5-3 in yesterday’s matches of the Scotia Bank/Pepsi Schools football tournament at the Ministry of Education ground on Carifesta Avenue.

Romel Legall led the assault with seven goals as Central High experienced a tough Friday 13th.

Legall scored as early as the second minute and founded the back of the net in the 12th, 18th, 26th, 30th, 35th and 54th minute.
He was ably assisted by Troy Ross and Craig Hughes who both netted two goals each while Ashmaile Barrington and Jubal Lesprance scored one each.

Central High’s lone goal came from a penalty kick which was converted by Shane Legall in the 33rd minute.
Game two saw Charlestown beating St. George’s 5-3.

Charlestown goals were scored by Shane Morris who netted a hat trick in the second, 52nd and 58th minute while Ravin Naughton and Dugan Osbourne scored in the fourth and 55th minute respectively.

St George’s goals were scored by Christoff Ramdyhan in the 17th, Osell Small 45th and Robby Nicholas in the 59th minute.
On Thursday, Queen’s College got the better of Campbellville by 3 goals to 1.

Scoring for QC were Treston Bailey in the eighth minute, Aftab Crandon 37th and Terran Alleyne 68th.
Jamaal Chan scored Campbellville Secondary’s consolation goal in the 30th minute.

The tournament continues today with one match at the Ministry of Education ground with Tucville coming up against Queen’s College.
