It said that he is also partnering with one of India’s leading project engineering companies, Angelique International Limited in search of investment.

GINA said he  met President Donald Ramotar on Friday for talks in this regard and was joined by Director and Joint President of Angelique International Limited Mohinder Pratap Gupta.

GINA said that Angelique International Limited was started in 1996, and is an engineering procurement and contracting company which undertakes projects in power, water, irrigation and agriculture sectors in Africa, the Middle East, South and South East Asia.

“There was a feeling for many years, right or wrong… that this area was under the domination of one or more countries of the Western Hemisphere, but now it seems that the perception is changing and Indian companies are increasingly looking at Latin America and the Caribbean for development partnership and cooperation,”  Vohra told GINA in an invited comment.
