Boy struck by motorcyclist displays signs of improving

Seven-year-old Aaron Austin, who was struck by a motorcyclist last Thursday, is showing signs of improvement.

His mother, Shollanda Goodman, told Stabroek News yesterday that Austin has shown signs of improvement as he is now having conversations with her. She did, however, note that he was removed from a machine and had to be put back on it after he complained about internal pain.

A police source said yesterday that the police force is still on the lookout for the motorcyclist who struck the child off his bicycle last Thursday and then escaped without rendering assistance.

Austin, of Lot 3777, North Ruimveldt, Georgetown, was reportedly catapulted into the air by the impact of the collision. He was rushed to the Georgetown Hospital by his uncle.
