The Region 10 Regional Democratic Council (RDC) says late Regional Councillor Leon Barrett was a man of integrity.
In a press release on behalf of the RDC, Region 10 Chairman Sharma Solomon said it was “with deep sadness” that the RDC announces Barrett’s passing from injuries he suffered in an accident on the Linden-Soesdyke Highway on Monday.
Barrett “was a very practical, industrious man of great integrity around whom there was never a dull moment,” he said in the release, adding that he served on the Welfare, Works, Education and Commemoration Committees.
Solomon extended condolences to Barrett’s relatives and friends.
