Police say that at about 0815h today, two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, entered the Wismar Post Office and held up the Police Constable who was on duty guarding cash.
The perpetrators took away the policeman’s service FN Rifle and 20 rounds and then held up the Postmistress and a female clerk. The men took away an undisclosed sum of cash from a drawer and over $2M from a safe and escaped.
Investigations are in progress.
