Suspects in cocaine trafficking, others held in city raids

Two men wanted in connection with a recent cocaine bust were yesterday arrested when police conducted raids in Georgetown.

According to a release, the duo was wanted in connection with the cocaine seizure at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport on June 4, in which Canadian Johall Manget was charged, and subsequently sentenced to three years imprisonment.

The release said that during the operation five other men were detained and articles suspected to have been either stolen or unlawfully obtained, were seized.

The seized articles according to the release are two CPUs (brown and black) with serial #s CEY652308068 and 2769031607B; a grey Cisco router with serial # CCaE09LP0830T7; a grey Canon printer with serial # 060296-11; two black computer keyboards; a Tech mouse; a 1000-watt voltage regulator; a white and black Canon printer with serial # HU10256701; two grey backup power supply units; two computer speakers and a mouse; a white and grey HP printer with serial # C90938; four speakers with cable; two Toshiba laptop computers; and one green Dell computer with serial # PP22X with charger.

Persons who have suffered the loss of such articles are requested to visit the CID Headquarters, Eve Leary, with proof of ownership, the release said.
