Massive medals haul for powerlifters from Orlando event

The nation’s powerlifters returned from the Caribbean and Pan American Powerlifting Championships with a massive medal haul, world rankings, Caribbean Team honours, several records and a best lifter award.

Guyana’s medal heist at the two-in-one championships which concluded on Saturday in Orlando, Florida, USA comprised seven golds, six silvers and four bronze medals.

Along with the podium worthy performances, the local strongmen successfully defended their Caribbean title while men’s 83kg Pan Am record breaking powerlifter, Randolph ‘The Accomplisher’ Morgan was named the best overall lifter for the Caribbean championship segment.
