Texas-based Berbician gifts stationery to Region Five’s top NGSA students

Overseas-based Berbician, Dr. Tulsi Dyal Singh of Texas, USA, recently rewarded Region Five’s top students at this year’s National Grade Six Assessment for their achievements,
Stationery hampers were handed over to the students on Wednesday at the Region Democratic Council through the Lions Club of New Amsterdam.

The students, Ariel Williams and Javon Reece, Jasmine Muberuka, Amernauth Narine, Suresh Persaud and William Mendonca, of Novar Primary, were very happy to receive the hampers as they prepare to enter secondary school.

Dr. Singh, of Texas, who is a former student of the Berbice High School, is interested in children’s education and performance and is always willing to assist students.

Among those present at the simple ceremony were Regional Chairman, Bindrabhan Bisnauth, Regional Executive Officer Ashford Ambedkar, Regional Education Officer Owen Pollard, Regional Information Officer Sandie Ross-Hendricks and Lions Club president Georgina Hoosley, Vice President Donna Hutson and Secretary Sabrina Grant-Lambert.
