A trestle in the compound of the Wakapoa Secondary School crashed to the ground on Monday last destroying six 400-gallon water tanks. According to reports, the trestle was built about three months ago and held eight black tanks each with 400 gallons of rain water. The structure, which was a stone’s throw away from the school, was set up to provide water for over 200 school children. Reports said no one was around when the incident occurred. Efforts by this publication to contact the Region Two Administration on the issue proved futile.
