A man was yesterday sentenced to three years imprisonment after being found guilty of narcotics possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Keith Daley, 52, of Lot 492 North East La Penitence, was also fined $30,000 for the offence, which he had denied.
Daley had been accused of having 40 grammes of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.
Magistrate Fabayo Azore, who presided over the trial and heard the testimony of four witnesses, handed down the sentence at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court
Daley was unrepresented by an attorney.
