A joiner is now dead after he was crushed by a canter truck on the Spring Gardens Public Road while making his way home from a wedding house on Wednesday.
Dead is Marlon Viveros, 19, of Essequibo Coast who according to reports was under the influence of alcohol and was on his way home at about 0300hrs when the truck ran over him.
Persons in the area said that the young man was lying on the roadway when the truck ran over him, smashing his head. The driver of the truck, Fitzroy Lloyd had said that he did not see the young man and that he only felt the impact.
Lloyd is currently assisting police with investigations.
