GEA probing theft at headquarters -Sharma

An investigation has been launched into the theft of some equipment from the Quamina Street, Headquarters of the Guyana Energy Agency (GEA), its head Mahender Sharma said on Thursday.

“Equipment, not fuel markers, [is] missing. Investigations are ongoing by the Guyana Police Force,” he said in a correspondence to Stabroek News following queries as to whether two fuel markers had been stolen.

Asked what type of equipment was missing, he responded, “Equipment used in the daily operations of GEA.”
