Latter-day Saints Church donate non-fat milk for schools

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints presented a container of non-fat milk and a quantity of school kits to Food for the Poor (Guyana) Inc to be distributed to schools, children’s and geriatric homes.

In his remarks, head of the charity Kent Vincent lauded the church for its partnership over the years and expressed gratitude for the donation. He said children will benefit immensely from the donation, particularly those who may be malnourished.

Elder of the church Robert Beecher said it was an honour to represent his church on such an occasion. He said the church always emphasises the importance of helping and giving to those in need, as such he was grateful that they were able to partner with the charity.

The distribution of items has already started, the release said.
