While without a ball being kicked the feature quarterfinal contest scheduled to begin at 20:30 hrs between the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) FC and Fruta Conquerors FC was called off due to black out.

The match will be replayed today at the GFC ground at 20:30hrs with the opening game at 18:30hrs being an exhibition match up between Guyana All Stars and New York All Stars.

The Guyana All Stars led by the trio of Ola Pedro, Anthony Stanton and Terrence Lewis will be looking to defend their home turf when they oppose their American counterparts led by the trinity of Terrence Archer, Ron Austin and Dexter Cort in an intriguing opening matchup.

Searching for retribution following their recent loss to the Tucville side in the recently held Namilco Football Classic third place encounter, the army boys, led by the triumvirate of Eusi Phillips, Royan Morrison and Marlon Benjamin will be looking to take care of business when they oppose a precocious Conquerors outfit led by their quartet of Travis Thornhill, Trevon Lythcott, Eon Alleyne and Jermaine Junior in what is expected to be a pulsating contest in another Mayor’s Cup encounter.
