NP Electronics receive Inter Corporation first place trophy

NP Electronics at a simple presentation ceremony at the entity’s Robb Street location yesterday was presented with the Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) 2013 team championship trophy following their triumphant exploits at the association’s recently held Inter-Organizations tournament.

GTTA President Godfrey Munroe during a brief address to media operatives stated that while only 16 teams competed at this year’s competition, the tournament continues to be a success as it promotes the intangibles of sportsmanship and camaraderie between the competing sides.

“Even though we didn’t have the full complement of team, the overall level of the competition was good. The tournament has the potential to become a national event as it creates an avenue for rivalries and the passing on of some knowledge” added Munroe.

Team champions NP Electronics finished ahead of the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) and Blue Thunder Electronics who were relegated to second and third positions respectively.

In the singles division, Donald Duff was presented with the singles trophy and cash incentive for his efforts while Rono Joseph and Devon Richmond finished second and third respectively.
