Tucville/Guyhoc face East/West Ruimveldt in key encounter

Basketball action continues today at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall on Homestretch Avenue as the Trinity Grid Holdings (TGH) Inter-ward tourney continues with three matchups.

The feature group ‘D’ contest of the evening at 21:30hrs will match Werk-en-Rust/Wortmanville against East Coast side Melanie.

Earning a victory over North/South Ruimveldt in their opening game, Werk-en-Rust/Wortmanville will try to solidify their status as tournament contenders when jump ball commences.

In the mid-card group ‘B’ fixture at 20:00hrs, Tucville/Guyhoc will oppose East/West Ruimveldt in a critical encounter as both sides attempt to book their berth to the knockout rounds following their respective opening defeats against tournament favourites Plaisance/Vryheid Lust.

Kitty/Campbellville will lock horns with Alberttown/Bourda in the opening group ‘A’ matchup at 16:30hrs.

With both sides losing their respective opening encounters to group leaders McDoom/Diamond, an entertaining matchup is expected as a win for either side will guarantee safe passage to the knockout stages.
