Nicola Ramdyhan defeated Afruica Gentle in straight sets in their girls’ U18 final when the Courts Junior Tennis Championship concluded yesterday at the National Racket Centre on Woolford Avenue.
Ramdyhan took the opening set 6-3 and clinched the title after winning n the second set by a 6-2 margin.
In the boys’ U14 final, Jordon Beaton overcame Kishon Reece in a third set super tie breaker. Reece took the opening set 4-1 while Beaton would battle back to win the second set by a 4-2 score line. Needing to score 10 points in tie breaker to clinch the title, Beaton defeated Reece by a 10-4 margin.
