Last year’s event was won by Team Coco and former Caribbean Junior cycling champion, Paul De Nobrega.

De Nobrega carted off the junior and senior categories of the Roraima Bikers Club (RBC)/Digicel/Avon Breast Cancer Awareness 25-lap cycle road race which was held around the outer circuit of the National Park.

DeNobrega, who won $100 000, the Digicel Breast Cancer Awareness jersey and a trophy for his Open win and $30 000 and a trophy for his junior triumph, will start as one of the favourites for this year’s event especially following his win on Sunday in the second annual Kadir Mohammed ounce of gold cycle road race.
