West Front Road-Gold is Money defeated East Front Road 2-0 when the Guinness Greatest of the Streets Georgetown Zone continued on Saturday at the East Ruimveldt Community Centre tarmac.
Michael Oie opened the scoring for the eventual winners in the sixth minute. The victory would be sealed in the 17th minute of the second period as Randolph Wagner etched his name on the scorer’s sheet.
South Sophia upset Queen Street Tiger Bay 1-0 through a Ryan O’Selmo first minute strike whilst Castello Housing Scheme edged Laing Avenue 1-0 compliments of a Sherman David third minute strike.
North Sophia led by goals from Gregory Jones and Akeem Frank in the 7th and 16th minutes respectively overcame North East La Penitence 2-0 while East La Penitence defeated Durban Street via walkover.
Back Circle through goals from Wayne Wilson and Andy Duke in the third and ninth minute defeated Festival City 2-0. South Ruimveldt edged California Square 3-2 on penalty kicks following a nil-all score line at the end of normal time.
