Dear Editor,
Could an enquiry be initiated why in the National Estimates the Ministry of Home Affairs shows the position of Deputy Fire Chief, without that of Fire Chief?
Is it not a contradiction in terms, apart from being a mischievous downgrading of a well-established public service post?
What is interesting is that the press itself consistently refers to Fire Chief.
Someone should check on the emoluments of the incumbent Deputy.
