We wish to acknowledge receipt of your letter of January 29 and welcome your invitation to comment on the attached complaint (‘Theft of electricity,’ SN, January 29). Electri-city theft is a major problem for GPL and all reports are treated seriously and with dispatch.
I don’t recall receiving the complaint before but the location was visited on January 31 and an illegal connection was found. An arrest was made and due process will follow.
We would like to thank the writer for the report and persistence in having the matter addressed.
