A Bell West, Canal No. 2 man is now hospitalised after he was chopped in the head during an attack by his girlfriend’s former partner.

Sultan Eshack was chopped several times in his head with a cutlass around 7pm on Thursday after the man lay in wait at his 419 Bell West Housing Scheme, West Bank Demerara residence. He was rushed to the West Demerara Hospital, where he was treated, before being released yesterday midday.

His alleged attacker, Ricky Manickchand, has since gone into hiding.

She also related that the man had on several occasions threatened to burn her house down and kill her.
