In celebration of the first anniversary of popular radio station 94.1 Boom FM, parent company Hits and Jams Entertainment will host the ‘I love Boom Concert and Award Show’ tomorrow, March 16 at the National Park, Georgetown from 20:00hrs.
The company has been asking listeners to send a video stating why they prefer to tune in to the radio station. Videos do not have a time restriction and can be sent through Boom FM’s twitter account, Facebook, or emailed to hj94.1radio@gmail.com. Some of these will make it into the video montage that will be aired on HJTV and shown at the Boom Concert in the National Park.
But to add in the atmosphere of celebration, Hits and Jams has created an award “Hits and Jams Mashramani Awards” (HJMAs) to honor and encourage local artistes. Apart from awarding prizes based on public votes, the concert features many local singers who contributed to Guyana’s music industry and the recently concluded 2014 Mashramani carnival.
Here is your last chance to vote for who you think should win the 2014 Hits and Jams Mashramani Awards. You are encouraged to Vote for your favourites by texting the numbers 603-8683. Voters can send multiple texts for different categories. It is unclear when voting will be over.
