Couple robbed while delivering goods at Mocha

A couple was held at gunpoint and relieved of personal items and cash on Friday night in Mocha Arcadia, East Bank Demerara.

Crime Chief Leslie James told this newspaper that a man and his reputed wife were distributing goods at Nelson Street, Mocha around 7 pm when two masked men both armed with hand guns confronted them. The woman was relieved of cash and her cell phone while a cell phone and $180,000 were taken from the man.

The armed bandits then made good their escape, James said.
