The Mayor and City Council City Constabulary Department is celebrating its 177th anniversary with a week of activities, including a drill display at the City Hall compound today.
According to a press release, the City Council kicked off its programme with a church service at the Guyana Local Government Officer Union (GLGOU) at 7.30am on Sunday. Yesterday, it undertook community work at the East Ruimveldt Outpost at 9 am.
The programme will continue with a feeding programme for children at the Convalescent Home at D’Urban Backlands at 1 pm tomorrow, sports at the GLGOU on Thursday and Friday from 10 am and more community work at the East Ruimveldt Outpost on Saturday from 9 am.
