Albouystown man charged with malicious wounding

An Albouystown man was yesterday released on bail after he appeared in the Georgetown Magistrate’s court where he was accused of maliciously wounding Sherwin Davis.

Devon Ross of 166 Curtis Street, Albouystown, pleaded not guilty to the charge before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry after the Administra-tion of Justice Act was applied. The charge read that on July 12th on D’urban Street, Ross unlawfully and maliciously wounded Davis with the intent to maim and disfigure, causing actual bodily harm.

Ross was placed on $75,000 bail and will return to court on August 4th.
