Port Kaituma man stabbed

A Port Kaituma resident was yesterday air-dashed to the city after he was repeatedly stabbed by a friend.

Persons in the North West District community identified the injured man as Dexter Abrams who lives at the PK waterfront.

According to reports, sometime on Wednesday night Abrams saw his friend at the waterfront in the company of two other persons and became annoyed. Abrams according to what this newspaper was told, stabbed his friend twice in the head. In retaliation, the friend stabbed his attacker a total of seven times; in his abdomen and buttocks. Both men were rushed to the community hospital, where they received treatment.

At his own request Abrams was transferred to Georgetown Public Hospital and according to officials there his condition is not very serious.

Abrams’ friend is in custody pending charges.
