New batch of Project Trust teachers here

A group of 26 Project Trust volunteers have arrived in Guyana to teach.
They will be teaching Mathematics, Science, Information Technology and English in schools across Guyana’s hinterland and in eight of the ten administrative regions of Guyana, a release from Project Trust said yesterday. The volunteers will teach in their respective schools for one academic year. Country Representative for Project Trust in Guyana, Kala Seegopaul, stated that she was confident that the volunteers would make a lasting impression on the children of Guyana, and at the same time pick up skills valuable to their own development. She also acknowledged the continued support and assistance of the Ministry of Education.
Project Trust is the oldest educational charity specializing in overseas volunteering placements for school-leavers in the United Kingdom, the release said. Since 1967 the organization has been sending volunteers to Africa, Asia and the Americas. Guyana has been receiving volunteers since 1979.
