In the report headlined “Use of unmarked vehicles against police policy – Persaud,” published in the September 12, 2014 edition of Stabroek News, it was incorrectly stated that Commissioner of Police (ag) Seelall Persaud said “it has never been the policy of the police to use unmarked vehicle.”
Persaud said that the police ranks in plain clothes operating in unmarked vehicles are not authorised to make traffic stops. Stabroek News regrets the error.
