The Berbice Bridge Company Inc (BBCI) has announced that has donated over $60,000 to craftsman Mohamed Kahmar to aid his participation in Go-Invest’s Trade, Tourism and Investment Exposition set for Florida, USA.
In a press release, the company said Kahmar, a craftsman who specialises in handcrafted dolls, boats and shell boxes, submitted a written request for assistance to offset his booth and travelling expenses to the fair set for October 31 to November 1 at Broward College in the USA.
On Monday, the company presented a cheque valued $63,000 to Kahmar along with a quantity of souvenirs such as pens, caps, key rings and T-shirts to distribute to the public.
