Weeks after police and the Child Care and Protection Agency (CC&PA) began investigating how a 12-year-old girl became pregnant, another case has surfaced.
A source told this newspaper yesterday that the CC&PA is investigating a case of another 12-year-old girl, this time from Region One, who is pregnant. The pregnancy is said to be in the early stages.
Details surrounding her condition are sketchy. More than likely she will have to be brought to the city, where she will receive the care and counselling needed.
The first girl, who claimed she was impregnated by her stepfather, was air-dashed from an interior hospital earlier this month after she began suffering from abdominal pains. She is due to deliver the baby at any moment as the pregnancy is full term.
