In celebration of its 20th anniversary Demerara Bank Limited will soon be launching its VISA credit cards and will be the only bank in Guyana to offer its Signature Visa Card.
Demerara Bank opened its doors on November 21 1994 with its head office located at 230 Camp and South streets, “becoming the only Guyanese bank at the forefront of providing innovative and superior banking services” it said in a press release. Since then it has opened five other locations countrywide and has shown “continuous growth in its profit for the last 20 years.”
Demerara Bank, the release said, is the only principal member of VISA in Guyana and it plans to pass on all benefits of this type of membership to its customers. The Bank also hopes to open its corporate office by 2015.
CEO Pravinchandra Dave extended hearty gratitude to the chairman, board of directors, management and staff for their invaluable guidance and commitment over the years.
