The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport in collaboration with the China Photographers Association yesterday launched the “Chinese Dream” photographic exhibition at the Guyana National Museum.
GINA said that the 35 pictures on display represent the positive achievements made by multi-sectors of China, such as the economy, society, politics, culture and ecology.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Dr Frank Anthony added that the event presented a good opportunity for the Chinese and Guyanese photographers to interact and share experiences.
Over the years, GINA said, there have been a number of interactions between Guyanese and Chinese, one of which is the opening of the Confucius Institute at the University of Guyana. This, the minister said, was welcomed as it solidifies education in Chinese language and culture.
