Crown Mining Supplies golf tournament on today

The inaugural Crown Mining Supplies Golf Tournament will take place today at the Lusignan Golf Club course from noon.

Some 45 golfers have already registered to take part in the tournament including Manag-ing Director of Crown Mining Puri Persaud.

The tournament will award players in all 3 flights and also an overall best net as the winner, closest to the pin and long drive will also be awarded.  Crown Mining Supplies also said that are more other price up for grabs.

According to Persaud, his goal is to promote golf in Guyana and he is keen on seeing youths take an interest to the sport.

The overall winner will receive a trophy while other prizes will be given to the first three finishers overall, the first three females, best gross and nearest to the pin.
