Teens charged with retired Jamaica nurse’s murder

(Jamaica Gleaner) The police have charged two sixteen year old boys in relation to the New Year’s Eve murder of 79-year-old Hyacinth Hayden at her Green Park home in Trelawny.

The two juveniles were charged with murder and robbery earlier yesterday.

It is understood that one of the boys was found with the dead woman’s cellular telephone.

Hayden was stabbed to death while her husband visited a near-by shop last Wednesday.

She was a senior Justice of the Peace in Trelawny. She had also served as Matron of the Falmouth hospital.
