Cops seeking relatives of break-in suspect fished out of Mazaruni

The Guyana Police Force is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the relatives of David Emmanuel Marks, who is believed to have been fished out of the Mazaruni River on January 7.

According to a police statement, the body of the man, who was identified to the police as Marks, is at the Lyken Funeral Parlour awaiting identification by a relative and a post-mortem examination.

The release added that Marks was allegedly seen breaking into a shop at Papi Show Landing, Mazaruni River, on January 04, 2015, and was confronted by residents. He is reported to have jumped into the river in a bid to escape.

His body was recovered three days later.

The man is of African descent and appears to be in his mid-thirties, about 5’8” in height, brown in complexion and with a medium build.
