At about 0300h. today, the police say that Adrian Osborne, 23 years, and Colin John, 20 years, both of Henrietta, Essequibo Coast, were walking along the roadway at Richmond, Essequibo Coast, when they were struck down by a motor vehicle. The driver of the vehicle sped away from the scene.
Both men were pronounced dead on arrival at the Suddie Hospital.
The driver of the motor vehicle was later arrested at his home and was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol.
