A fisherman was sentenced to five years in jail on Friday after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a woman.
Edward Novar, called ‘Radesh,’ 31, of No. 0 Village, Corentyne entered the guilty plea when he appeared before Magistrate Charlyn Artiga at the Number 51 Village Magistrate’s Court.
The charge stated that on March 6th Novar touched the woman in a sexual way without her consent.
