Scrap iron dealer fined for stealing trolley

A scrap iron dealer was fined on Thursday after admitting to stealing a trolley.

Christopher Singh pleaded guilty when he appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court 3.

The charge stated that on April 8, 2015, on North Road, Bourda, Singh stole the $9,500 trolley. “The trolley was outside and I thought it was scrap iron. I see the security come and hold me and carry me to the police,” Singh explained.

Singh was fined $10,000 with an alternative of two weeks in prison.
