Luncheon plays up PPP track record in Kitty meeting

People’s Progressive Party executive, Dr Roger Luncheon last evening urged Kitty residents to vote for the incumbent party based on its track record and futuristic development plans.

“What we call our track record is a track record of what we have done for all Guyanese, PPP, PNC, and AFC, all. We have contributed to their betterment,” Luncheon told a gathering of about 50 persons who converged at the Station Street tarmac to listen.

It is the track record of his party, which Luncheon said has already given him confidence that voters will resoundingly vote in favour of the PPP and that he knows that victory is assured come E-Day Monday 11th May 2015.

“Our track record my friends …provides all of us with the confidence that we have that on May 11th Donald Ramotar will once again be re-elected the president of Guyana… The assurance is based on the solid facts of our track record and its achievements”.

He blasted the coalition, APNU+AFC saying that their members come out of the PNC, a party which stunted the growth of Guyana for 28 years and should not be allowed to rule every again. He urged supporters to vote and give the PPP such a victory it will force the coalition out of existence and any other party wanting to run for office must be aptly possessed with the wherewithal to do so

“They have done nothing to deserve the kind of support they have received from Guyanese …What they have achieved in the 23 years under PPP they never under the PNC Burnham . Never!” he exclaimed to the clapping led by former trade unionist and PNC members Gillian Burton and Joe Hamilton.

The duo also made presentations and called on supporters to vote for their party.

“We have to end this culture if the PNC Guyanese have been brought up in their hands and we have to say unambiguously to these old deh bad, enough is enough. Never again will they bring a thing like a Granger or like a Greenidge or like APNU or AFC…If you want to rule u have to get courage you have to get credentials,” Luncheon went on to add.

“We gat to teach these vagabonds a lesson we got to teach deh backside, put a licking in their asses that they would never forget.

Luncheon said that tied into his party’s track record was economic growth of Guyana that no other country in the region has obtained for nine consecutive years.

“It’s all about the economy all about what we have achieved I  these 23 years…they mash up de place they cripple this country…The 23 years has been 23 years that has been characterized by economic growth and development,” he posited.

Turning on the opposition, again he stated that while his government has been fervently working on building the country’s economy, the opposition has made every possible move to stymie Guyana’s growth.

“Every calculated effort they made to prevent economic development…first they screwed up up with investors …Blackstone and Sithe global… and sanctimoniously tell the people ‘We aint going down that road this T aint crossed or that dot aint make,” a riled up Luncheon said.

“They have nothing to say that remotely recognizes the importance of investors in economic development for Guyana,” he went on to add.

He maintained that voters will see the progress made in their lives and the economic strides the country has made and will give his party a victory that he already knows is waiting.
