Three firefighters were rushed to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre yesterday afternoon after the fire truck they were in toppled at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri.

The three men were taken to the East Bank hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries and sent home.

Stabroek News was informed that the truck was travelling along the airport runway when the driver lost control after a tyre blowout.

The fire tender was headed to the Guyana Defence Force Hangar.
