The police on the Essequibo Coast have arrested one person in relation to the death of pensioner Richard Ivan Etwaroo of Lot 81 Paradise, Essequibo Coast whose body was found on the seashore in Paradise on Thursday last.
According to the police, one man is in police custody assisting with investigations.
On Thursday, about 7am, the body of Etwaroo, 69, was found by the seashore in Paradise after he did not return home on Wednesday evening.
A search party was formed on Wednesday and continued on Thursday morning and it was then that the body was found by Paramand Bridjodhan his 29-year-old son, lying motionless in the water on the seashore at Paradise.
