Grana y Montero and Sedgman Joint Venture (GSJV) on Friday donated a collection of books valued US$2000 to The School of Earth and Environmental Science (SEES) at the University of Guyana.

Representatives from both groups attended the small presentation ceremony hosted in the lower auditorium of the Learning Resource Centre on the university’s campus.

Dr Allyson Stoll, coordinator of the post graduate programme at the SEES said the books would mostly benefit students who are pursuing the Master’s and Post Graduate Diploma programmes in Environmental Sciences. “It takes an engaged collaborative effort from the global community to educate in a rigorous and timely manner to provide a quality education at the tertiary level. I want to say thank you to Grana y Montero and Sedgman Joint Venture for this kind contribution,” she said.
