Charitable donations: Canada-based Guyanese investor Dean Hassan yesterday presented a total of $10M dollars to 18 Guyanese charities including, the Palms Geriatric Institution, the Dharm Shala, the Uncle Eddie’s Home, St. John’s Bosco Orphanage, the Shaheed Boys and Girls Orphanages, the St. Ann’s Orphanage, the David Rose School for Handicapped Children, the Guyana Society for the Blind, the Deaf Association of Guyana, Youth Basketball Guyana, the Guyana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Help and Shelter, the Guyana Red Cross Society, Lodge Irenaeus, the Guyana Veterans’ Legion, the Queen’s College PTA, Syeada Manbodh, and Genvieve Beepat.
