Man found not guilty of rape of girl, 14

A jury yesterday found Leonard Singh not guilty of two counts of raping a 14-year-old girl.

Singh was found not guilty on charges that between December 6 and December 9, 2010, he engaged in sexual penetration of a girl under the age of 16. Singh was 22 at the time.

The prosecution called five witnesses to the stand. The state was represented by attorney Orintha Schmidt. Singh was represented by attorney Nigel Hughes.
